About the Concept: Privately developed, the Carriage House Club is being built in the style of a fine Mediterranean building which will become home to a new illustrious private members’ club. Creative terraces and rooms which blend contemporary with traditional and lend themselves perfectly to al fresco entertaining with the most spectacular gardens in Palm Beach.

The Club’s design is comfortable, eclectic and bursting with personality in keeping with the nature of the club. Each separate external area has its own unique character using combinations of vibrant planting and dramatic twists which will imbue interest and style into it. By pairing different plants, shapes and orientations around the areas, interior spaces will be uniquely inviting. The end result will ensure that the club is vibrant and enticing – the kind of club its members want to spend as much time as possible in!

The Hiring Goal – is to select an acclaimed professional capable of building a culinary culture and programming that matches the Club’s impressive design and purpose.

The Position: This is a new club, and the foundation needs to be established. The Executive Chef needs to be a gifted individual who has a high creative and business IQ, the ability to communicate effectively and be a team player. The expectations for consistency of world-class standards will be the minimum. The members will be some of the most discerning and well-traveled people on the planet which requires a calm balanced demeanor, that is characteristic of a true leader.

The Executive Chef is organized, talented, has a pedigree of working in a world-class established environment. Ideally, someone who has worked in Michelin starred kitchens in Europe in a leadership role, either Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef. Someone who has worked in restaurants and hotels that are held to the highest standards and can deliver ownership and guest, member satisfaction.

The Executive Chef should approach this position with a vision and open mind, collaborating and willing to take direction from ownership and the General Manager. He/she should have a firm yet flexible point of view for the betterment of the greater club objectives. Must have a clear understanding and the ability to produce high quality on a consistent basis.

Business Factors and Position Duties

  • The kitchen will be a brand-new buildout and have everything needed to deliver an amazing experience for the members.
  • The CHC kitchen will be supported by (3) Sous Chefs, a Pastry Chef, and Banquet Chef; the Chef is responsible for all products, partnering with local farmers and purchasing of all food materials.
  • The Clubhouse is 12,000 sq. ft. w/ 230 members whose age range 45 to 65.
  • The Club operates October 15th – May 15th seven days per week.
  • The Executive Chef reports to the General Manager and works with the Managing Director, Maître d’, Director of Events/Catering and Director of Membership.

Dining Facilities: (The Club is open for Lunch & Dinner seven days per week in season. The Parlor serves daily until 12:00 A.M.)

Comporta – Moderate w/40 seats. Lunch & Dinner

Jodphur – Gin Bar w/20 seats. Cocktails & Snacks

Hemingway – Rum Bar w/20 seats. Cocktails & Snacks

Johnnie Brown – Classic Bar w/20 seats. Cocktails & Snacks

Founding Members – Private Dining Room w/20 seats. Events

Dining Room – Formal w/50 seats. Dinner Focused

Parlor – Late Evening w/40 seats. Evening Social.

Private Dining – Combining world class food, wine and service, there are a number of private rooms seating up to 20.  Largest sit down is 50 guests.
