Montammy Golf Club in Northern New Jersey’s Bergen County is a full service private country club, located in the rolling hills of the Palisades above the Hudson River, in Alpine, New Jersey. 25 minutes from mid-town Manhattan. Founded in 1966, the Montammy Golf Club offers its members and guests a challenging and well- maintained 18-hole championship golf course, six Har-Tru Hydro and two Hard-Top tennis courts and a spacious and welcoming clubhouse, with dining, locker and athletic facilities and a swimming area with children’s playground.    At Montammy members and guests are provided unparalleled service. In addition to A la carte dining the Club supports a ballroom that offers a spacious setting for up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing. Bar mitzvahs are a Club specialty. The ballroom is supported by additional private dining areas ranging from the intimate Main Bar and West Room to the commanding Montammy Room, directly overlooking a lush and well-manicured golf course.   Above all, the club’s greatest assess is its membership and staff and place in the greater community.  The board and management have worked hard to keep facilities well maintained with constant improvements.  Its goal in selecting its next Executive Chef is to elevate an already respected culinary program to further greatness.

Scope, Expectations & Requirements: The Chef is responsible for all food production. Annual food sales near $1.5M while maintaining a sales mix ratio of 75% A la Carte and 25% Banquet. The Club budgets a 50% cost of goods supporting very top quality. The Club uses only the finest ingredients and quality is paramount to a demanding membership who knows good food.  The Chef is supported with a culinary staff of 16 assuring scratch production and proper sanitation practices. Overall member satisfaction is Key!

The club is open six days per week and features two A la carte restaurant outlets seating 100 and 60 respectively. In addition to the banquet and private event facilities the Club maintains a Pool Snack Bar during the summer months. All restaurant areas are noted for their personalized service and feature various cuisines from sandwiches, salads, club classics to progressive American offerings.

  • A team player who is accountable to the clubs business goals and delivers on his/her word.
  • Able to recruit Staff and retain them.
  • Solid Leadership (Knowledge of Spanish language a plus)
  • Creative and fresh ideas and products.
  • Must be personable and enjoy spending time on the floor engaging with members (who, by the way are very supportive of the staff.)
  • Very strong inventory control skills combined with prudent budgeting and planning. Monitors actual financial results; takes corrective action as necessary to help ensure that financial goals are met.
  • Has an ownership mindedness with great sense of urgency and responsive to membership expectations.
