The Country Club of Virginia is a full-service private club located in Richmond, Virginia. The club’s 7,400+ members support 1,111 acres containing two superb clubhouses situated seven miles apart, 54 holes of golf, racquet sports, fitness, aquatics, and multiple dining outlets and special event venues. The Westhampton Grill is a 175-seat casual family restaurant serving lunch and dinner seven days a week. From April through September, 120 outdoor seats are added on the scenic terrace and this outlet bustles.

The Grill Chef has principal responsibility for all day-to-day culinary operations in the restaurant. The position supervises a Sous Chef and a staff of 15-20, and works in partnership with the front-of-house management team. The Grill Chef reports to the Club’s Executive Sous Chef.

The Club’s culinary management team consists of a highly acclaimed Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Banquet Chef, Pastry Chef, outlet chefs and seasoned foodservice supervisors. The food and beverage team strives to provide the finest possible culinary offerings in an elegant yet relaxed setting with a propensity toward exemplary service. CCV has a history of promoting from within, and is proud to have a significantly tenured team delivering consistent experiences to its membership.

This Grill Chef position requires energetic, organized and composed leadership qualities with particular strengths as an effective coach and mentor influencing line personnel. The ideal professional will have diverse experiences, particularly high-volume a la carte. The club will hire an a la carte expert as the primary focus of this position is efficiency and consistency.

Compensation: A very respectful Base Salary, commensurate with experience; other benefits include performance bonus potential, professional development allowance, 401(k), life insurance, and partially paid health and dental insurance. Club will also pay partial moving expenses.
